Life is never dull on a farm and ours is no exception. We have many projects and ideas that we would like to see implemented in the near future. Also, many things occur on the farm that are out of our control. This is the page that we will use to try and keep all of you up to date on both good news and bad. We will also use this page to discuss our plans for the future. Feel free to use our e-mail link to provide us with any feedback that you think may help us achieve our dreams.

Education is one of our main goals at Gypsy Family Farm. There is an old saying that we believe strongly. That saying is, "Give me a fish and feed me today, teach me to fish and feed me forever". One of our goals is to teach people to grow their own food. To do this, we are hoping to implement a Community Gardening Group here at Gypsy Family Farm. People will be able to rent private garden plots at the farm. They will have access to all of our information resources as well as to our own personal experience. In conjunction with this, we are hoping to provide "gardening classes" which would be regular but informal discussion sessions in which specific topics of interest can be explored. This will be a large undertaking so keep your fingers crossed for us.

Kudos to Allison Muckle and Aaron Dent of Sudbury. This innovative couple are currently in the middle of a year-long commitment to eating only foods that have been sourced within a 150 mile radius of their home. Further proof that "local" is replacing "organic" as the food of choice in our rapidly evolving food network! Good luck with your endeavour and thank you from all of the local farmers that you are supporting.
